Sprint wants to steal new customers from its competitors
like AT&T and Verizon that they are offering a better deal for them
compared to those promo offered to their existing subscribers.
Sprint has announced their new promotion "Cut Your Bill
in Half" that will cut down the bills of AT&T and Verizon customers by
50% which is huge if they switch to Sprint unlimited calling and text coupled
with the same amount of data their previous plan offered. Sprint will also pay
up to $350 per line in early termination fees.
In a Press Release, Sprint CEO Marcelo Claure said: “The Cut
Your Bill in Half Event clearly demonstrates that Sprint delivers the best
value in wireless." "It's as simple as this, just bring Sprint your
Verizon or AT&T bill along with your phone and we'll cut your rate plan in
half. That's a 50% savings on your rate plan every month. And this great deal
is not just a promotion. This will be the customer's ongoing price."
This promotion will definitely snare a lot of Verizon and
AT&T subscribers, however it will left out existing customers who will have
to pay regular rate and have no guarantee that their rate will not increase.
Most wireless companies offer introductory rates that give switchers huge
discounts but it eventually expire. For example, a customer will pay discounted
rates for the first 6 months of a 24-month contract, but once the promo period
ends the customer will pay the standard rate.
The beauty of the Sprint's "Cut Your Bill In Half"
deal is that the rate will not expire and the 50% discounted price is the
standard rate the new customer will pay as long as they remain in that plan.
The Cut Your Bill in Half promotion will roll-out live
